What this site collects, and what it does not

This is the personal site of Alex Mead. It exists so that people can see how he runs customer contact, service and experience operations, and get in touch. It is written in plain English because that is how the rest of the site works.

The live model

When you type, say or record something for the live model, the words you give it are sent once to a serverless function on Netlify and on to Anthropic's API to be read. They are used to produce the reading you see on screen. They are not stored by this site and not attached to your name. The scenarios on that page are invented examples, and it is written on the assumption that what you try is an invented example too, so please do not put anything into it that you would not want to send in an ordinary email.

Video recorded in your browser never leaves your browser. Where your browser supports it, the words are transcribed locally and only the words are sent.

The form

If you ask for the one page, the form sends your work email, the sector you give, your name and company if you give them, and the words you tried in the live model, to Alex by email through Netlify Forms. The words are included because the page he writes back is written from them. He uses all of it to reply to you, and for nothing else. It is not added to any list.

Analytics

The site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and to see which pages and which steps of the live model people reach. This sets cookies from Google. Nothing you type into the live model is sent to analytics. If you would rather not be counted, most browsers let you block third party cookies, and Google offers an opt-out extension at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

The concierge

The AI concierge on the site answers questions about Alex from a written evidence pack. Your questions are sent to Anthropic's API to be answered and are not stored by this site.

Who to ask

Alex Mead is the data controller for this site. Write to alex@epiccsx.com to ask what is held about you, to have it deleted, or to ask anything else about this page. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office in the United Kingdom.
